Brome-Missisquoi is recruiting doctors
Since the summer of 2008, a citizen’s committee supported by the Brome-Missisquoi MRC, the BMP Foundation and the Perkins Foundation has been actively recruiting family doctors and specialists for the whole region.
The committee is seeking versatile doctors who can act as specialists and who can offer family medical services for the population. With many doctors approaching retirement age and a population that is getting increasingly older, therefore with more health problems, there is an obvious need for new doctors in the five main population centres of the MRC, namely Farnham, Brome Lake, Sutton, Cowansville and Bedford.
For the BMP Hospital, the committee is seeking six specialists working in hematology-oncology, gynecology-obstetrics, radiology, microbiology, orthopedics and in internal medicine.
The population has been asked to help the committee. If you know doctors who might be interested in coming to practice in the region, you can refer them to Tania Szymanski at 450 266-4928 #281 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The committee also offers support to help new doctors and their families settle into the community.
