Have you ever wondered what happens to your waste once it leaves your bin?
On Saturday, September 19, Zone-Éco is opening its doors to the public for a free, family-friendly event! Take this unique opportunity to discover the facilities and technologies used to manage, process and recover residual materials in Brome-Missisquoi.
A guided tour to see things differently
Hop aboard the bus for an approximately one-hour guided tour of the various Zone-Éco facilities. You will have the opportunity to discover:
- the regional ecocentre;
- the reuse centre;
- the composting facility;
- the landfill site;
- the biogas recovery project;
- the wastewater treatment system.
This is a great opportunity to better understand what happens to our materials after collection and to discover the efforts being made in the region to promote reuse, recovery and responsible waste management.
