Official Launch – 1st Edition of the Brome-Missisquoi RCM Police Officers’ Breakfast
A new solidarity event in Cowansville
Sherbrooke, September 2, 2025 – The Quebec Cancer Foundation – Estrie is proud to officially announce the launch of the first edition of the Police Officers’ Breakfast in collaboration with the Sûreté du Québec of the Brome-Missisquoi.
The event will take place on Wednesday, October 1, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Coq Rôti, located at 419 Rue de la Rivière in Cowansville. The public is warmly invited to come and enjoy a delicious breakfast served by police officers themselves, in exchange for a $20 donation, payable directly on site that morning.
A strong first step for a great cause
This launch marks the beginning of an initiative we hope will grow over the years. For this first edition, we have set a fundraising goal of $3,000. The funds raised will be largely donated to the Estrie Regional Center – Maison Parallèle of the Quebec Cancer Foundation, in Sherbrooke, to support people affected by cancer in our region.
A call for solidarity
By participating in this breakfast, you are taking concrete, supportive action for people living with cancer and their loved ones. Your presence will directly contribute to improving their daily lives and providing them with essential support services.
Join us for this launch filled with hope, solidarity, and generosity. Together, united against cancer, let’s make this first edition a true success.
Everyone is welcome!
About the Quebec Cancer Foundation
For more than 40 years, the Quebec Cancer Foundation has dedicated the funds it raises to supporting the thousands of Quebecers living with cancer and their loved ones. The Foundation offers complementary therapies — physical wellness and psychological support — through its Regional Centers in Montreal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke, Gatineau, Trois-Rivières, and Lévis, in addition to operating the largest network of accommodations in the province. It also provides financial and legal assistance programs for people with cancer facing precarious situations. The Foundation offers support tailored to young people aged 15 to 39 affected by cancer through its À Félix Program. Finally, through its Info-cancer Services, the Foundation provides listening, answers, and comfort throughout Quebec.
Additional Information
Over the past four years, the Brome-Missisquoi RCM has been among the top three regions from which beneficiaries of our Estrie Regional Center – Maison Parallèle come.
For Brome-Missisquoi alone, this represents more than 1,950 overnight stays.
The three municipalities in the RCM that use our accommodation services the most are:
- Cowansville: More than 675 overnight stays
- Farnham: More than 325 overnight stays
- Bromont: More than 200 overnight stays
One in two Quebecers will face cancer. But both will need support. We are here to help.
