Refrigerators

Fridges are not usually provided with housing in Brome-Missisquoi, so you should budget for this expense.

When installing a fridge, make sure that it is standing up (vertically upright) for 24 hours before you plug it in. Fridges should always remain plugged in.

Stove

Most stoves in Brome-Missisquoi are electric, but some rentals may have gas stoves.

Like fridges, stoves are not usually provided with housing, so you should keep some room in the budget for this expense.

Washers and dryers

Most rentals have the plumbing required to install a washer and dryer, but some do not.

Ask your landlord, as some buildings have washers and dryers in a common area that all tenants in the building can access (for a fee).

Some municipalities have laundromats where you can do your laundry (for a cost).
