Winter tires are mandatory in Quebec from December 1 to March 15, at minimum.
Winter tires are safer, as they are designed for better control and traction than summer or all-season (all-weather) tires.
Your tires must be in good condition. The grooves on your tires should never be less than 1.6 mm deep.
Plan ahead for winter tires!
Don’t let December 1 pass you by. Book your appointment to change your tires with an auto shop in the fall. All vehicles are required to have winter tires, so auto shops get pretty busy. Don’t take a chance, plan ahead!
