Hospital (wait time)

Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins Hospital (BMP)

Go to the hospital’s emergency room if you are experiencing a health emergency.

Once there, you will go through triage. Your condition will be assigned a priority level from 1 to 5. Priority 1 = a health problem that is immediately life-threatening. Priority 5 = a minor health problem that could be dealt with in a medical clinic.

WARNING: Be ready—if your health condition is not priority 1, you may need to wait a few hours (potentially 24 hours) before you can see a physician.

Asylum seekers

Hospital emergency rooms are the only place asylum seekers can receive medical services. You must present your “brown paper” to receive health care.
