Food in Quebec

Most people in Quebec are used to eating meals from all over the world. However, like in many countries, there are also traditional Quebec meals that are part of the national identity. Case in point: poutine!

  • Poutine: A combination of fries, cheese curds and brown gravy
  • Tourtière: Savoury pie stuffed with seasoned beef or pork
  • Pea soup: Soup made with green or yellow peas
  • Pouding chômeur: White cake with maple syrup and brown sugar
